EPoS Technologies is thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking innovation in the field of magnetic materials: metal magnets. This new category of hard magnetic materials promises to revolutionize the way we think about and use magnets in various applications.

Traditional Magnets and Their Limitations

Traditionally, magnets such as steel magnets or ferrites have been available in two main forms: sintered and bonded. Sintered magnets are known for their strong magnetic properties but are often fragile. On the other hand, bonded magnets offer better mechanical properties but at the cost of lower magnetic performance.

A Revolutionary Innovation

Today, EPoS Technolgies is excited to introduce something entirely different: metal-bonded NdFeB magnets. These magnets combine the magnetic power of neodymium with the toughness and durability of metal. Our journey begins with titanium magnets, marking a significant leap forward in magnetic material technology.

Incredible resistance

Our first material, Ti-MM4 H, stands out for its impressive characteristics. It has high tensile strength, making it more resistant to impact and corrosion than conventional coated magnets!

EPoS Technologies has rigorously tested Ti-MM4 H by hammering, pulling, crushing, throwing, corroding and thermally torturing it. And you can imagine the result: it was obvious that it continued to deliver outstanding performance under all these conditions!

The introduction of metal-bonded NdFeB magnets opens up new design possibilities across various industries. These magnets are ideal for high-speed spindles without sleeves, rugged electric motors, sensors in vibration-heavy environments, and delicate or mission-critical applications that require higher reliability. EPoS Technologies owes a huge thank you to Ted Tsoulos, who played a pivotal role in optimizing this material. Ted's relentless efforts to test and push the limits of Ti-MM4 H have been invaluable.
